Uma maheshwar

Jahaj kothi, Hisar

The sculpture of Uma Maheshwar is intricately carved, with the viewer's perspective highlighting Uma’s presence on his right side of Shiva. In this sculpture Shiva’s one hand on the right shoulder of Uma. Unfortunately, the left side of the sculpture is missing. It is possible that the upper left section originally featured Brahma seated on a padmapeetha, while the central area above showcases a prominent Prabhavalaya. In this representation, Uma is depicted seated on Shiva's right lap, characterized by full breasts, although the area around her hips is damaged. Both Shiva and Uma exhibit signs of deterioration in their facial features. Both figures are depicted in a samukkha mudra. At the base of the sculpture, Shiva's vehicle, Nandi, is present, with Ganesha positioned on the bottom left and Kartikeya on the right. Additionally, there may be a figurine of a celestial attendant located to the left of Shiva.
