Jahaj kothi, Hisar
This figure is definitely not Shiva. Instead, this broken pillar is part of a doorjamb, which is intricately decorated with a floral motif known as malashakha. This motif is characterized by its delicate and elaborate floral designs, which are often symbolic of beauty and prosperity in the context of temple architecture. To the right of the observer, there is a notable presence of a male attendant figure, commonly referred to as a dwarpala. Dwarpala figures are typically depicted as guardians or doorkeepers. On the left side of the observer, the dwarpala is depicted holding a stick. His left hand is positioned on his waist. Additionally, the dwarpala is adorned with an akshaymala (rosary) around his neck.
