Bhima Devi Temple Site Museum, Pinjore
According to the Rigveda, Revanta is the youngest son of the Sun god Surya, and his wife Saranyu. Revanta is chief of the Guhyakas, semi-divine entities. Images and sculptures of Revanta often show him as huntsman on a horse (he is often called as Haya-Vahana, one who rides a horse), with a bow and arrow. Revanta carries sword as weapon and his consort is Aranyani. Although this sculpture is in abraded form but shows features that reveals that this is a depiction of Revanta. One of his attendants is depicted holding an umbrella (symbol of royalty) over the head of his lord.
