Pilaster, Ghasola (Dadri)

Department of Archaeology and Museums, Haryana

A remnant of an architectural element. The complex carvings on the stone suggest that it was formerly part of a bigger construction, such as a temple entrance, demonstrating tremendous skill. The carvings' style, which includes elaborate scrollwork and floral themes, is consistent with traditional Indian architecture, probably dating from the medieval period.
