Jahaj kothi, Hisar
The fragmented section of the lintel showcases an intricate and captivating depiction of flying gandharvas, which are celestial musicians in Hindu and Buddhist mythology, positioned on both the left and right sides. At the center of the lintel, two gandharvas are depicted in a dynamic pose, presenting a garland to the supreme deity, who is likely the focal point of this artistic representation. The principal figure, presumably the supreme deity, appears to be seated on a padmapeetha. However, the details of her posture are somewhat obscured. In light of this uncertainty, it is plausible to deduce that this figure symbolizes a goddess. In her right hand, she may be holding a pot or bowl. The presence of the gandharvas, suggests that this scene is set in a heavenly context, where divine celebrations and rituals take place.
