This early medieval sculpture of Ganesha in buff sandstone from around Mahendragarh does not furnish much detail- it depicts the deity holding a modaka, along with his ayudha- the axe and angusam (elephant goad). One can also visibly see the presence of a naga-yajnopavita along his torso. While a prabhamandala is absent, he is still shown wearing a headdress, signifying his divinity. Notably, one finds that he is not seated on a lotus pedestal in this sculpture.
