Ganesha

Department of Archaeology and Museums, Haryana

While much detail of this sculpture has been lost due to wear and tear, some aspects stand out still. For instance, the naga-yajnopavita on his torso is clearly visible. His ayudhas- the angusa (elephant goad), the lotus, the modaka and the broken tusk, are also somewhat noticeable in his four arms. He is seen seated on a simplistic pedestal, with no detailed work on the background, and no prabhamandala either.
