Fragment of Stone

Bhima Devi Temple Site Museum, Pinjore

The image displays an intricately carved stone fragment belong to Bhima Devi. The carving features a complex interplay of geometric shapes and organic forms. There are several rectangular and square recesses. These recesses are surrounded by flowing, leaves-like motifs, including stylized arches and vines. The carving also includes a few circular elements, one of which resembles a stylized sun or flower. The overall style of the carving suggests a possible origin in the Panchayatana Plan.
