Female deity of pilaster

Jahaj kothi, Hisar

The figurine of the lady depicted in this pillar is currently in a severely deteriorated state. This deterioration suggests that the figure may represent an attendant in a duibhanga posture, which is characterized by a graceful and elegant pose that often conveys a sense of poise and balance. It is possible that the figure is intended to be in a tribhanga posture but not sure because the lower section of the part is missing, which limits our ability to fully interpret the original form and significance of the sculpture. The upper part of the pillar is adorned with an floral design.
