Door Jamb

Jahaj kothi, Hisar

This segment of a door frame dates back to the 9th to 10th century A.D. The frame showcases a rectangular stone panel that is elaborately carved. It is segmented into five horizontal sections, each adorned with distinct motifs. The three sections are characterized by stylized floral and foliate patterns, whereas the central and right corner sections illustrate human figures and mythical beings, potentially representing mithuna couples.
