Door Jamb

Jahaj kothi, Hisar

The intricately carved stone Door Jamb features four distinct Shakas. The first Shaka is characterized by decorative Latashaka elements. The second Shaka is depicted by Ganas, which are celestial beings engaged in dance, each depicted in various postures. Some of these figures are depicted with musical instruments, while others are captured in dynamic dance poses. The third Shakha illustrates Mithuna couples, each adorned with elaborate ornaments and clothing, with each couple presented in unique postures that convey a sense of affection and intimacy. Finally, the fourth Shakha showcases celestial creatures. In the lower section, one can observe flying Gandharvas presence. Then three human figures, presumably attendants; two of these figures are female, standing in Tribhanga posture, while the male figure is depicted in Duibhanga posture
