Jahaj kothi, Hisar
The principles established by Shilpa Shastra and Indian Temple Architecture dictate that specific murtis have their positions fixed on the temple walls, radiating outward from the principal deity located within the Garbagriha. Interspersed among these fixed images are various celestial beings, including Apsaras, Gandharvas, and Ganas. Upon closer examination, it becomes evident that this particular figure does not represent a dancing Gana, as they are typically illustrated on temple walls as animated, pot-bellied dwarfs engaged in dance and music. Instead, this sculpture may depict a dancing girl, a presence that can also be observed alongside the apsaras on the temple walls.
