Couple in Medallion

Description

This medallion, fragment of structural element, depicts a couple playing musical instruments. The figure on left is seen playing a single stringed instrument, resembling a harp. The figure on right, sitting cross legged, is playing a flute. Adorned with jewellery and elaborate hair style, they seem to enjoy the moment of celebration. Couple is sitting on a long pedestal. Area around the beaded circular medallion is beautifully carved, with foliage designs.
