Hindu religion is based on the trinity I.e. Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh of which Brahma is placed first. He is the source of Four vedas. The vedas are said to have issued from his mouth. This stone sculpture was found in pehowa. The God is seated on a lotus pedestal. In this relief only three faces are shown fourth is supposed to be on the back. Among his four hands lower right is in abhaya mudra , upper right hold a Sruk and upper left and lowrtleft holds a book and kamandalu. The God wears a sacred thread. Exquisite expression, rhythmic flow of lines and the care with which it has been carved makes it a masterpiece.
